This Heart of Roses Applique Quilt measures 92 x 106 inches  to fit your Queen or Double bed.  It was handquilted by Esther C, an Old Order Mennonite, also called Amish Mennonite, woman in South Central Pennsylvania. There are approximately 6 handquilted stitches per inch on this Amish Quilt.  Esther C is an Amish Mennonite Quilter, and her initials are embroidered on the back of this Heart of Roses Applique Quilt.  A white background makes the rich burgundy and blue flowers beautifully vivid in this wreath of buds, roses, blossoms and hearts. There are also little red berries embroidered off the trailing vine.

Esther C still has children at home, so she is one of our younger quilters, with only about 30 years of experience handquilting.  She loves to garden and preserve the bounty of the Lord to provide for her family during the long winters months, and she loves color and beauty.  Her husband and older sons do their farming with horse and plow, so their farm is just big enough for them to be able to work, about 35 acres.  Supplementing the farm income with quilting at home is a job Esther loves, because she can quilt early in the morning and in the afternoon, making masterpieces with beauty and color.
