This Bargello Forest Quilt was quilted by Rebecca E, a local Amish woman in her home, and measures 107 x 113 inches to fit your King size bed.  It is signed and dated by Rebecca in permanent marker on the tan back.  There are approximately  8  handquilted stitches per inch.

Set in the hollow between two hills, at the end of a long winding and bumpy road, is the house that Rebecca grew up in, and now shares with her son and his family.  Rebecca and her husband live in the Dawdy house, the smaller dwelling attached to the side of the homestead.  Her son has taken over their woodworking business, and this has left more time for Rebecca to do what she loves, cook slippery pot pies for her grandchildren, and quilt.  Her husband made the quilt frame for her years ago, and it has probably never been empty since!  Rebecca loves to quilt, and her great eye for color and beautiful small, even stitches make an heirloom that will last for years. This Bargello Quilt was handmade by Rebecca, one of our Amish Quilters.
